J’émerge. Il est 8 :30 du matin, mon réveil sonne, mais impossible de me réveiller. J’ai bossé comme un fou, toute la nuit, sur un projet full passionnant. La dernière fois que j’ai regardé mon horloge il était 2 :30 du mat, quelque chose comme ça. En fait, c’est le premier projet qui me passionne autant. Le premier projet dans lequel je m’investie autant aussi. C ‘est mon projet à moi. Je me suis lancé solo dans l’entrepreneuriat et je dois vous avouer, ça me fait extrêmement peur, mais putain je n’ai jamais autant kiffé ma vie !
Cette expérience a comme particularité de faire surgir des parties de moi tant lumineuse que sombres. Des parties que j’ai passé ma vie entière à essayer de fuir et d'enfouir au plus profond de moi. Ce qui me fait penser à une fille. Je l’ai rencontrée il y a quelque temps et elle m’avait dit cette phrase: « You can run from it all you want, it’ll come back bit you in the ass harder. » Je m’en souviens bien parce que c’est la dernière chose qu’elle m’ait dite le jour où j'ai rompu avec elle. J’ai finis par le comprendre, l’adage est vrai ! On ne peut pas fuir, car tout finit par nous rattraper. Cette fille…Je ne l’ai pas fréquenté longtemps, mais faut reconnaître qu’elle avait raison. À ce moment-là, elle faisait référence à ma peur de l’engagement.
Car oui c’est vrai, j’avais et j’ai toujours cette peur au fond de moi de m’engager, je ne pourrais pas vous expliquer pourquoi exactement mais quelque chose en moi me retient, me freine. D’ailleurs, je pense que le fait qu’elle ai su voir aussi claire en moi a contribué à me faire fuir en quelque sorte. Pourquoi je vous parle de ça déjà ? Je pense que je me perds dans mes pensées. Ces putains de pensées arborescentes ! Fuck, c’est elle qui me disait ça aussi. Elle me casse les couilles. On ne s’est pas fréquenté longtemps pourtant, mais on dirait qu’elle m’a marqué beaucoup plus que je ne le pensais. Ou en tout cas que je ne veuille bien me l’admettre.
Je prends mon téléphone. J’ouvre Instagram. Ma bonne vieille distraction. Je scroll, Encore, Encore, Et Encore…

Je tombe sur une vidéo de Djokovic. Ce que j’aime et que je déteste à la fois avec l’algorithme d’Instagram, c’est qu’il est basé sur le temps passé sur le contenu que je consomme. Par la suite, il me suggère instantanément le même type de contenu pour m’amener à passer toujours plus de temps sur cette plateforme. Voilà le piège de la surconsommation les amis. My 1%
I emerge. It's 8:30 in the morning, my alarm goes off, but I can't wake up. I've been working like crazy, all night, on an exciting project. The last time I looked at my clock it was 2:30 in the morning, something like that. In fact, this is the first project I've ever been so passionate about. It's the first project in which I've been so involved. It's my very own project. I'm a solo entrepreneur and I have to admit, it scares the hell out of me, but I've never had so much fun in my life!
What's special about this experience is that it has brought out parts of me that are both bright and dark. Parts that I've spent my whole life trying to escape and bury deep inside myself. Which reminds me of a girl. I met her some time ago and she had said this phrase to me: “You can run from it all you want, it'll come back bit you in the ass harder.” I remember it well because it was the last thing she said to me the day I broke up with her. I finally understood it, the saying is true! You can't run away, because everything catches up with you. That girl...I didn't know her for long, but you have to admit she was right. At the time, she was referring to my fear of commitment.
I couldn't explain exactly why, but something inside me holds me back. Besides, I think the fact that she was able to see so clearly contributed to my running away in a way. Why am I telling you this again? I think I'm getting lost in my own thoughts. These fucking tree-like thoughts! Fuck, she used to say that to me too. She's busting my balls. We haven't been dating long, but it looks like she's made a bigger impression on me than I thought. Or at least I don't want to admit it to myself.
I pick up my phone. I open Instagram. My good old distraction. I scroll, again, again, And again...

I come across a Djokovic video. What I both love and hate about Instagram's algorithm is that it's based on the amount of time I spend on the content I consume. Subsequently, it instantly suggests the same type of content to get me to spend ever more time on this platform. That's the trap of overconsumption, folks. And the worst part is, it works...
